The  tota lake  It is a natural body of water located in the department of  Boyaca,  Colombia.  It has an area of 55.1 square kilometers, with 11.8  km  long by 6.2 wide and an average depth of 58 meters. This makes Lake Tota the largest natural freshwater reservoir in Colombia. It is located at 3,015 meters above sea level. The temperature in the vicinity of the lake shows strong fluctuations that can vary between a minimum of 0  °C and a maximum of 14  °C
